A Sparkle in Her Smile

Well, it's been a tough few days and I am so happy the worst is behind us. Our dear little E had some major dental work on Thursday. She's only 4, so it was pretty traumatic for her and mommy.
The anesthesia was the worst on her poor little body. Today is Saturday, she's eating better and smiling and dancing around. That sure makes me feel better.
She had 1 tooth extracted and 3 teeth filled and have new silver caps! She looks so different and it just breaks my heart. I'm just hopeful we have saved her from additional work in the future.

Because she was feeling better today. We went to the movies! Elise loves to go to the movies now. This is very cool. We went to see Alpha and Omega, an animated feature about wolves. The movie had good intentions, but it just didn't keep either of our attention. We actually left early. I know I'm a Disney snob, but hey it wasn't Disney...

It's been a tough few weeks

Let's see, after about 6 weeks, I think my sore throat has taken a break. The second round of antibiotics have prevailed. You never know how fragile your body can be until something isn't working up to par. I am just thankful to be feeling better.
I had resumed working out in July after a much too long hiatus. Then this illness hit and I had to break for a few weeks. I hate to lose the momentum, but I was really needed to let my body heal. So, I returned to Pilates on Monday and my abs are so sore. Yay! I am a work in progress. It is difficult to put in words the battle I have been losing with a fit body. I am not giving up. I attempting another reformation, that I hope will permanently stick.

So, my precious Elise is undergoing some dental work on Thursday. One pulled, another reinforced and three filled. Too much reality for a 4 1/2 year old. Too much for Mommy. I am just stuffing my anxiety so deep. I don't want her to feel my fear. I am so looking to forward to having this procedure behind us.
