It has probably been over 20 years since I've visited the L.A. Zoo. Jeff thought the last time he visited the LA Zoo was on a field trip in school. So, with only distant memories in tow, we packed up the car and headed for Los Angeles. When you live over and hour away from the city - it's a trek, and that means Elise gets choose a few dvds and use the portable DVD player. To Elise, this means, "road trip!" We saw the flamingo's first. A bit smelly, but still a beautiful bird to admire.

Unfortunately, the kangaroos were snoozing, and the humidity was getting to Elise also.
I have to say, find the gorillas awake was my highlight of the trip. They were amazing!
